Sambar Powder


A unique assortment of spices added to boiled tur dal to make aromatic South Indian sambar.

PACK SIZES - Pouch: 15gms, 25gms

INGREDIENTS - Coriander, Chilli, Toor Dal, Cumin, Black Pepper, Fenugreek, Mustard, Turmeric, Curry leaves & Asafoetida.


Cook 300gms of vegetables of your choice, Keep aside.

Cook 45g(3tsp) of toor dal in 600ml of water with ½ tsp of cooking oil and a pinch of turmeric.

Grind 1tsp (15gms) of sambar powder with grated coconut and a little jiggery (if desired).

Mix this with the coked dal.

Add vegetables, tamarind extract and salt to taste.

Boil for 5 minutes. Prepare the seasoning of ½ tsp mustard and curry leaves in ½ tsp of cooking oil.

Add to sambar, your delicious sambar is ready.
